Confluence - 2018

Confluence, at John Curtin Gallery, brought together artworks by Pippin and Warrick Palmateer; exploring their unique collaboration and common strengths, and celebrating their differences.

Both Pip and Warrick created major new works for the exhibition, contrasting their own distinctive visual aesthetic language and passion for aspects of the Australia’s natural environment.

In common with Lines of Site exhibition (John Curtin Gallery 2007), the show was curated and carefully staged by gallery director Chris Malcolm. Innovative plinth design and restrained lighting created the remarkable illusion of Pip’s grouped works ‘floating’ on ‘islands’.
